Mighty Uke Day 1 began when Tony Coleman from the just-released Mighty Uke: The Amazing Story of a Musical Underdog documentary emailed me about a showing in Lansing. I thought it would be fun to have a little strum and an open mic to go along with the movie and we all had a wonderful afternoon of music and film. I figured it was a one-off event until people told me what a great time they had and what was I going to do next year. “Next year?!”, I thought and the rest is history.

We don’t have a lot of documentation of MUD 1, but here is a very cool video
